Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born South London, England into a mixed family. The father of her is Nigerian as well as Swiss and her mother is English. She attended The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She earned her BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. The stage she appeared in was many productions while attending school including the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. Since then, she has been a guest star in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Then, she appeared in Elisha on a BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe appeared in the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes at The CW, and was then cancelled. In February 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, it was announced in May 2013 that she would leave the show after an appearance as a guest in the premiere episode from the 3rd season. The actress played Tituba in the TV series Salem from 2014 to. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he has also appeared alongside Madekwe on the TV show Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Four of her older brothers were also in the family and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all sportsmen, played baseball during the summer and played hockey in winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, however she did dance. When she turned two-and-a-half she took up Baby Ballet and fell in with. It was then that she discovered Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, jazz and tap at the top divisions. Ashley took home the best soloist honor at each major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among some.
