Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actress who is active in both film, television as well as theater. Since the age of 27, she has been professionally performing as an outstanding actress. Her first professional role came in 1990 in an Off-Broadway production in The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. A year later she was cast in her first TV role in The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she earned her breakthrough when she played as a secondary character in Basic Instinct. In the film The Firm however that she was chosen as the female lead for the very first time, and this was also against stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 1990s, Gwyneth collaborated alongside Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes as well as Julie Andrews for Relative Values. In the most recent episode, she played the role as Alex Blake, Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.

Born into a family of golfers, Lexis couldn't have been a player who was not used to playing male-dominated sports. In 2007 she was the youngest golfer who qualified for US Women's Open. Not only did she not take home the title, she was also not able to compete in 2007's Aldila Junior Classic, which made her the second youngest player to win this competition. The the youngest American Junior Golf Association member to win this championship, she also won the Westfield Junior PGA Championship in the same year.
