McKayla Rose Maroney retired from the sport of artistic gymnastics to become a performer. She participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics as part of in the American Women's Gymnastics Team, referred to by the name of Fierce Five. At the Olympics she was awarded a silver medal for herself and also a team gold. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney, daughter of Erin (died in 2019) as well as Mike Maroney, was born on December 9th on the 9th of December, 1995 in Aliso Viejo. McKayla's Irish Catholic background is her ancestry. She has two siblings, Tarynn and Kav, as well as being home-schooled to train as an elite gymnast. Maroney told us, "When I was younger I was watching Tarzan and jumping about on my fours. Mom told me: "I'm going to have my child take gymnastics. Lauren has been with Fitness model David Kagan (since August 2013) since their wedding. Aria Skye Kagan is the daughter of Lauren and David Kagan. The birth took place in the month of December, 2019. Her father, mother along with her brother and sister all remain members of the same church, while her parents and two other sisters have stopped all communication with the girl.
