Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez (/s@'li:n@ "goUmez"/s@-LEE'n@ GOH-m born on 22 July 1992) is an American singer, actress and producer. Gomez started her acting career in 2002 in the TV show for children called Barney & Friends. She became famous for her role as Alex Russo, a teenage star in the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). Gomez was also a part of several films, including Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2010). She also appeared in Ramona and Beezus (2010) as well as Spring Breakers (2012). She was also a voice actor on Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (2012-2022). Gomez was the executive producer of the Netflix television series 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020) and Living Undocumented (2019) through her production company, July Moon Productions. She also appears in the Hulu drama series, a comedy with a twist of mystery Only Murders in the Building (21-21). Gomez received praise from critics for the latter show, and also nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She was also a producer and star in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + Chef (2020-2022) and the Hulu mystery comedy series Only Murders in the Building (2021-2022). All three albums have been certified as gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. They include Kiss & Tell (2009) and A Year Without Rain (2010). Her first solo album, Stars Dance (2013) it topped the U.S. Billboard 200 and its lead single "Come & Get It" was a top hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. Gomez's second studio album, Revival (2015), debuted at the top of the charts in the US, was certified platinum by RIAA and was followed by three US top ten songs: "Good for You", "Same Old Love", "Hands to Myself". Her third studio album, Rare (2020), has been her third consecutive number one album in the US, and its lead single, "Lose You to Love Me" was her first number-one song in the US and Canada.
